Isn't it late for peach tree borer larvae?

I just discovered another peach tree borer today. I thought it was kind of late for that kind of thing. So far only my NJ-252 has been infected. I cleaned at least one out this spring and now noticed more damage and a live larva.

I can't find much information on how many eggs a moth lays either. Should I expect to find more than one at a time?

So much disagreement about treatment on the web! I'm going to put "old fashioned" naphthalene moth balls around the base and see what happens.

I was just wondering if this is a normal thing this time of year.
