| Hello, I am in the process of process of renovating my garden which has been neglected for a very long time, we travelled abroad a lot and only recently settled back home. Which renovating the garden, I noticed that there is a nest of scarabs. Here is a photo of them in their favourite spot (near the root of my olive tree), does anyone know if these fellows are of the beneficial dung feeding variety or if they feed on plants? |

| I can't identify them as a scarab from that photo, perhaps you are more familiar with them. Was there something oozing from that plant trunk?--that can attract insects. Dung should not be hard to come by (from a pet of some kind); see if your beetles are attracted to it. |
