Question for anybody growing them in peat bale or mostly peat - how do you make sure the peat doesn't dry out in winter?

I usually open the plastic bag & pour hot water on it (the peat), it wets fast that way. But can't do that with plants planted...

You never allow it to dry out.

Keep the peat in original bag, or put it in another big container. Better, dig a hole and bury the peat bale....
