Just learned that someone near here is breeding new plums, apricots and maybe Pluots. Just had a great sample which may be an experimental fruit. Brown-red on the outside, deep rosy red on the inside, very sweet with fruity flavor.

Clingstone, one of three fruits had a badly split pit. About 2/3 the size of a Dapple Dandy, sweeter and more flavorful. Wish I knew what it was. Grower was not at the hardware store where I bought the fruit.
