First Apple Harvest!

Did the minimal spray program for fungus and insects recommended on this forum (Immunox and Spectracide), then bagged with footies.

Variety is either Liberty or Dayton on semi-dwarfing rootstock. Tried the mini dwarfs, but they just didn't have much vigor.

Tested them a couple of times, but they tasted green. Left them alone for awhile and today I noticed a bunch had fallen, so I just shook the tree.

Taste is crunchy, tart and sweet. Most are small, since we let the tree set so many, but I'm just happy to have apples!

Great going. Also interesting to see you have 'creeping charlie' aka ground ivy in your lawn as well.

They look good.....enjoy 'em!
