Apache Blackberries In September ?

Hey Gang...anyone growing Apache Blackberries ?...i was at Lowes tonight and they have Apache Blackberries for sale,one of the plants they have has berrries growing on it about 2 weeks or 3 weeks out from pickin'...seems impossible because this is a June or July bearing berry, with about 6 weeks of pickin...so how can this be ?.....unless this is another variety mixed in from the farm...could be an everbearing variety....but Lowes generally don't screw up like that seeing they didn't have any everbearing 4 sale there.

Anyone growing Apache blackberries getting fruit this late in the season ?...i'm growing 2 plants right now but i'll have to wait till next spring for my first harvest

Here's a picture as of this morning from one of my Osage Blackberry plants. It's fruiting in mid-September but it is normally an early variety (e.g. late June). I planted the Osage in late August last year and I think it may have message up this years fruiting schedule. I'm guessing the fruit timing will adjust over the winter.

I guess my point is that it is probably not uncommon for blackberry plants to fruit out of season, especially if they are new plants.
