I don't think it is a disease the tree is going dormant and fungus is taking over the dying leaf. Completely normal this time of year.

Yes - it's late October. All the leaves are dying as nature intends. They become susceptible to fungi but they will soon fall and can be added to the compost heap.

Thanks for the responses. Just wanted to get advice and see if I needed to treat before next spring.
