Yesterday I purchased a Craven Crabapple tree and to my surprise I cannot find any information about it on this site or when I goggle it. Any information you can provide will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replies.

WDE.
Lawson's Nursery carried it. I can check my old catalog tomorrow for description.
Got scions from Joyce Neighbors several years ago just before she passed her collection off (to Seed Savers, I think) - but believe what I got was mislabeled, because it produces a large, mealy, tasteless red apple, ripe early in the season.

Bill,
Here's what James Lawson had in his 1998-99 catalog:
Craven Crab - This is the largest crab we grow. Red in color, very tart, makes fine jelly, would be good to mix with sweeter varieties for cider, and one of the best to put out for wildlife. Ripens late. Mr. Craven brought it to us several years ago.
