Fig; Brogiotto Nero; help

Hey people

I just bought a fig tree in a pot in a local shop. The name of the fig is "Brogiotto Nero". This someone has more informatio nabout this type of fig?

And can I plant this fig right because its in a pot now or should I wait unil Spring?

Thanks. Should I plant this three right now or should I keep it in the pot?

It depends on your climate. If figs are reliably hardy in your area then plant it now. If they freeze back in winter then I'd wait until spring to plant. But it depends somewhat on whether or not you have a good setup to over winter in a pot. You need a cool to cold place but not where there are hard freezes. An unheated garage that's mostly 28-50F works.

You should add your plant zone and state where you live. People can give you better advice with such information.

Sorry guys. I live in Georgia (Atlanta). Hope this helps. But I think its better to place it in larger pot.
