Online Sources for Asian Persimmon Trees

I'd like to order several Asian persimmon trees, for either fall or spring planting. What online sources do you recommend? Variety, price and quality are important to consider.

So far I see both Isons and Willis Orchard have reasonable pricing. Shipping cost is another factor.

If youre up to it rarepalmseeds.com has about a dozen species of persimmon, from NA and asia. Of course it may take a bit longer to get large tree, but the price is right! I do belive that persimmon also come true from seed, at least species wise, not cultivars of course

Tony, thanks for the info.

I'll have to decide if I can grow the Asian persimmon trees. The past cold winter damage makes me re-think it again. Would bigger trees able to sustain the winter cold better than the young trees?

If you worry about the harsh winter then go with the rossyanka Hybrid persimmom. This guy can handle the cold weather to -20F and taste good too. I grafted 4 of these guys 3 years ago as backup to deal with the harsh winter.

I just can't afford to lose half of my fruits to once a time harsh weather. For a fig tree, I care less, but not a 5-yr old cherry, or persimmon....
