| Lots of wind last night - BIG wind. Went out to survey the damage this morning. Heartbroken - my 4-5 year old SirPrize Haas Avocado was now 3 feet tall (instead of 8 feet). All the other trees were OK. What I noticed is that there was one tie-wrap connecting the tree to a support stake - just one - and that is where the tree snapped. I think I would have been OK with more straps or even no straps. I feel terrible - like I let this tree down. I spent a lot of time babying it after transplant shock and it was lush and healthy - the best tree of 30 in my yard. Anyway, just a lesson learned. |

| Serge, The tree will re-sprout and recover in times. Hopefully, you will have a better tree support system next time. Good luck. Tony |
