sick plum tree

i planted 2 gulf plums 2 weeks ago. 1 is happy healthy full of new growth, the other is not happy, leaves are droopy sick looking, but there is a few small new growth leaves. any advice on the unhappy tree as with all transplants in fl im giving it daily water, theres not uch info online for these "gulf" plums the sick tree is the gulf ruby

Hard to say in only 2 weeks in the ground but daily watering can kill it.

Most like the Gulf Ruby is suffering from transplant shock. Like Konrad said, cut back on the watering, let the tree go dormant and cross your fingers when spring arrives.
