Husband picked up a persimmon from the nursery yesterday, and when it got home, it seemed to me that the 'healthy growth' he was so excited about might be sucker growth from the rootstock (sorry, hubby). Can someone more knowledgeable than me confirm? I know all apples are typically grafted onto rootstock but for some reason there doesn't seem to be as much information on persimmon trees. If it matters, it's a Fuyu. Thank you!
