Almond trees

I just ordered about a dozen different trees for this fall. I bought a couple of almond trees and was wondering what the best way to care for them is. I know they are related to a peach tree so I assume I would treat them just like I do my peach trees.

I have a wide variety of trees right now and was wondering what other type of trees I should try. Right now I have several pear, peach, nectarine, plum, apple, pecan, and pomergranite trees. As well as the above mentioned almond trees I ordered. I also have blueberries, blackberries, and figs. Space is no problem I have 56 acres I can spread them out on.

Yes, almonds are so close to peaches they cross to produce hybrid almonds.

What region are you in? That will affect possible outcomes from fruit plantings considerably - different areas have different pest and disease issues etc.

My property is located halfway between Houston and Dallas. Peaches do excellent up there. The only problem I have had with any of my trees is the last two years my plums have got hit by a late freeze and dropped all the plums.
