I can only tell you about carmine jewel because that is the only one of the above mentioned I have a lot of experience with. Carmine Jewel are very good overall because of a combination of reasons which are they do not sucker, they are easy to care for, grow moderately fast, they produce a fair crop of cherries in 3-4 years, they are short and easy to pick (6' or so), drought and wet weather tolerant, fruit taste is as good or better than most tart cherries, fruit size is acceptable, and they are cold and heat tolerant.

I wouldn't give up on the Evans,..most vigor and best producer!
Found out that suckering is not a issue for the first 10 years.
Bali had them grafted at one time,..perhaps that's the way to go for you.

Bailey Nursery in St .Paul MN does Evans. Where I work,
we got some Evans in from them in the past. They appear to be budded not own root. I have heard reports of Evans
on its own root to have suckering issues. I will presume budding onto another rootstock may greatly reduce that issue.

Ditto for 'Sweet Cherry Pie'. Originally my experience with this variety over 20 years ago was that it suckers profusely
and true to variety. Bailey now grows it budded.

Of course I have also heard that Evans own root is a good
zone winter hardier that those that are budded. I believe this is why Evans in Canada is usually sold on its own roots.

I have all the romance series cherries, so far the only one that has not sent up any suckers is the crimson passion. cupid and valentine appear to be the worst. Carmine jewel has only sent up one maybe two.
