This Summer most all my apples ended up with greenish spots all over their skins. It is not scab, just colored ,greenish spots. Some can be rubbed off. I attribute it to some kind of Algae or something, due to the frequent rains I had this Summer. Am I right or way off? Thanks

With all the rain this summer there have been several posts recently about sooty blotch. Apparently it rubs off with some effort. Down here it's about as likely as winning powerball.

Sooty Blotch? That about nails what it looks like. I'll have to research it. No big deal unless you want to sell some. Looks are important. There is no end to insect or disease pests is there? Thanks.
