Need some help figuring out what's wrong with this apple tree!

I have what I believe to be at 20 oz apple tree. Never really got any apples from this 10 year old tree never really had many blossoms either.

My problem is the apple looks like a 20 oz same size same color but this apple is like a rock and is uneatable. The inside has the texture like a coconut has no taste and it's like a rock.

I would post a picture but the apple looks normal. Not sure if the tree lost it' s graft but I always thought a apple tree will still give a good apple.
Any ideas would help me make a decision this year to cut it down and start over with a new tree. Thanks

There are too many great apples out there to mess with a flavorless rock. You can top work something else onto it and be eating good apples in a couple years.

Applenut...that was one of my thoughts, to graft some of my other trees to it, never really did it before but I ' ll try anything once.

I just wasn't sure if this tree is the problem and all grafts that are attach to it will grow the same like a rock with no taste. You can't even bite this apple without losing some teeth.

Just thought maybe I should start over in this space where the tree is now.
