i am wanting to plant late blooming cherries in my backyard, and my choice is between surefire and meteor. i think surefire would be better because it is very late blooming, but does anyone know if the flavor is comparable to montmorency?

Why is late blooming so important? It depends on where you are but many places in the east don't lose cherry blossoms very often at all. My blossoms have not frozen out in over a dozen years. I grew several sour cherries but prefer the flavor of Montmorency. I didn't try surefire or meteor. Scott

It is early, but if your area if anything like mine we have few problems with early freezes of any kind. The midwest and mountain west are very different stories, if you were there it would be a big issue. Get a Monty, its the best tasting sour cherry. Scott
