I'm interested in adding a honeycrisp apply tree or two to my property. Can anyone recommend a good pollinator for this variety? Would a Granny Smith work ok? Hope because I would like to add a couple of Granny Smiths as well...

Both are DIploids, and should be fine. Side note: I dont understand why people in general like to plant supermarket varieties in their yards, other than the fact that it may be all they've ever experienced. Hint: Take a look at Newtown Pippin in lieu of Granny Smith.

I think folks have generally been disappointed with honeycrisp in warmer locations.
