A few flowers in fall happens especially with a change in weather or some late pruning. Usually it doesn't affect next yrs crop because only a small fraction bloom in fall.

What percent of flower buds are opening?

Good to know. So far, none of the flowers have opened but all the new branches are loaded with buds. I was concerned since they are budding now, they would not bud again next spring. Thanks!

All of next yrs flower buds form in the prior summer. They can usually be seen by mid summer but don't open until spring. None will form next spring.
