Hi folks. Iv'e dealt with watching whole rows of beets ect. get sucked under like Bugs bunny but with this drought my entire 1 acre is riddled with holes and my orchard has greatly been affected. My 3 yr old Sea Buckthorns are almost all dead because I put them in small baskets since they were bushes not trees. Many of the trees also show signs of damage and as you walk up to them the ground gives way like dry mush. I know it's late in the season but I feel the need to finally do something. Does Juicy fruit gum really work? I don't want the dogs that you can hire for fear of them digging up the roots. Thanks in adv!!

If you are OK with setting traps, look into the gophinator traps online. he sells a standard mole trap which is what gives me my best results. The gophinator model is a bit to large to fit in the holes of all but the fattest gophers down here. I have tried all of the other traps and all work to a degree. I get more kills with the gophonator standard mole traps by far though.

I used to keep them under control with traps (a wire trap with a Scottish name I've forgotten) but it took a lot of vigilance and resetting. That is another thing I don't miss about CA- gophers! Drought I hated the most.
