Am planning on grafting some Limbertwig apple trees this spring and was wondering what varieties for fresh eating and baking anyone would suggest.

We need to know where you live to suggest the most appropriate apples.

I'm located in 5b southwestern Pa.

I like Myers Royal Limbertwig. It is very reliable and tasty. It has a unique flavor hard to describe, with lots of sweet and sour both. The only downside is the apples size unevenly, some small some large. Its a reasonable but not great keeper. Harvest in October.

I haven't fruited any other limbertwigs. I recently grafted Black Limbertwig but no fruit yet.
