persimmon recipes?

| Hello,
I have a persimmon surplus and searched the web for recipes. Although I haven't tried any, they look like they have too much sugar/other ingredients and I'm worried I won't be able to taste the persimmon enough to justify having made the recipe!
Does anyone have a tried and true recipe that allows you to really appreciate the persimmon taste?
Thanks,
Ann |

| I have a bunch I've saved, if you send me an e-mail I can send them to you. I haven't prepared them yet :) but they all looked so yummy I saved them for someday. Carla in Sac |

| Problem is that the flavor of PCA persimmons doesn't hold up well when heated, and there really aren't any recipes for persimmons that I know of that don't require heating and/or sugar. But this one is still good and uses only a half cup sugar, though the main contribution that the persimmons give to the final product, as far as I can tell, is its color - I really can't taste the subtle flavor of persimmon through all the other ingredients and after heating. http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/persimmon_pudding_cake/ |
