Should this peach be saved?

Greetings from Georgia. I posted a question on the Georgia Gardener forum, link below. Have done a lot of reading and am considering giving this sorry tree one more year to live. I believe it is what y'all describe as a seed peach. Have pruned quite a bit - realize I need to lower it even more (when???). No disease problems at all. Thin the fruit to at least 6" spacing. In late summer we get tasty but still tiny fruit - more pit than fruit. Hope y'all can help me!

TIA,

Rosie, in Sugar Hill, GA
