Mariana 26-24 for peach?

I just looked at the make a tree order form and it seems as if they are offering peach on Mariana 26-24 rootstock? Is this true? Can I really graft peach on to this? Are there any graft incompatibilities that I should be aware of? I would really like to use this because of my wet soils Let me know

Thanks

Jesse

RE: Mariana 26-24 for peach?

I ordered my apricot for 2010 delivery on Mariana 26-24; my understanding is that it's an excellent choice for peaches and apricots.

Fowler nursery has a good page on the subject.

I was given a lot of excellent advice on the subject some months ago on this site but don't have the link handy. "It's gotta be around here somewhere ..." :-)

Good luck,

Mark
