RE: stark supreme fruit trees

I bought an Ichi persimmon tree from Stark last year and I paid the extra money for the select option. It was not any bigger or better than what I usually get from them. This particular tree did not grow much compared to other fruit trees I got the same year from Stark's and other nurseries. Personally, I would not pay the extra money for a select or supreme option.

RE: stark supreme fruit trees

I have never bought the non-supreme so I cannot compare.

My Stark Supreme Dwarfs were about 5/8" caliper and had been topped at about 3 - 3.5ft above the graft . They each had 3-5 branches that had been pruned at about 4" long.
A few weeks after planting the pruned top and all of the short branches started growing. At the end of one summer, they have about 18 - 24 inches of new growth on each limb.

I was pleased.
