Amazing Apple Tree

That's impressive from the standpoint of logistics and vigor management. When you graft or bud in a new variety it would be very easy for the graft to just set there and not push even if healed in. Plus all that is done way up in the air.

Beyond that it's more show than substance. He'd be way ahead with 250 trees of single varieties. You could graft, prune, thin, spray, and harvest from the ground. You might even harvest when ripe rather than when they fall from the tree.

I surprised he doesn't have a virus issue at this point.

Its still amazing to see. There is hope for my grafting skills. The tree is great! I think volume was his goal and he did it! Mrs. G
