| WIth the recent discussion regarding mulberry variety cold hardiness, I wonder if anyone has any experience with the Morus alba variety "Tehama" or Giant White?(Rolling River Nursery sells it, among others I'm sure). Is this variety tender like "Pakistan", or is it worth a trial in zone 6? I can't find much factual info about it online, only the occasional description, with a guess that it is hardy to zone 7. This is the same rating for my "Black Beauty" Morus nigra which have seen zone 4 cold without much damage. But it is also the same rating as Pakistan, which has not proven hardy at all for me (I would now be hesitant about Pakistan except in zone 8 or 9 and above). Thanks for any help... |
