In the new house I'm building I'll collect rainwater. But that's a year away and i'd like to get a head start growing blueberries in mpots. My soil ph and water ph are 8.0, certain death for blueberries. There's always sulfuric acid to neutralize water but I usually have a beer in one hand while gardening, so again certain death (me!). One poster suggested n-phuric acid instead of sulfuric acid, supposedly it's much safer. Has anyone tried this? Thanks Bob

I have not used it personally, but what I read about it suggests that it is quite effective, rapid and safe, a rare combination. Most other fertilizers only possess any two of those attributes. You also get a one-two punch from it: initially it releases sulfuric acid after reacting with soil moisture, and later the urea component is converted to nitric acid, further lowering the pH.

OK, but where can you get it?
