Winter watering.

I have just moved a peach and nectarine, both in containers, into an unheated garage for the winter.
My question. What sort of watering regime would be acceptable?
Do they need water as they're both dormant, and will be till next spring?
Thank you in advance.

After leaves are off in pots I rarely water, maybe once a month. Then not much. It's easy to say check the soil and maybe some have a system. But mine soon become so packed with roots it's hard to check. At any rate as long as you don't way over water they'll probably be OK. Roots are much more tolerant of flooding when dormant and soil is cold.
