Apricot trees

I tried to germinate 2 apricot trees. I cracked em, gave em cold and tried to sprout them. These are both the same age and I am not sure what to do at this point. Any advise would be helpful.

RE: Apricot trees

Just let them grow. You will need to give supplemental lighting. Most of my peach trees are from seed and they produce good fruit. I don't know about apricots. You will need to use fertilizer with micro nutrients. The tree on the left looks good. See what other have to say. I use rooting powder on the lower trunks when the trees are real small to protect against damp off. Be sure that the soil is not water logged.

Assuming you are headed in to winter, this is not a good time to start trees. My sour cherry seeds sprouted in my fridge and they had to be planted now. So we are in this together.

MAY THE GROWTH BE WITH YOU

RE: Apricot trees

Just keep them indoors until spring arrives, otherwise, they will get killed by the frosts.

Last year, I kept my plum x apricot hybrid, my peach x nectarine hybrid, and my mariposa plum x krauter vesuvious plum seedlings indoors. After the spring arrived, I re-poted them into bigger pots and in the summer they grew very healthy.

Pic below: mariposa plum (seed parent) x krauter vesuvious plum (Pollen parent).
