I just went to St. Lawrence Nurseries website http://www.sln.potsdam.ny.us/ and discovered this is going to be their last year and that they will be retiring. I know many people on this forum use them every year.

I've ordered from them a few times, good plants, nice selection for the north. Surprising news to hear of their retirement, I hope the nursery will continue...

If they are making any money, I would expect the nursery to be sold- often this would be to an ambitious employee as was the case with Trees of Antiquity some years back. There must not be any progeny of the owner interested in doing this.

It is always a shame when a useful and interesting nursery goes out of business. Bear Creek nursery was one such operation.

They did give a statement at the link below Harvestman so it may be passed on to someone else http://www.sln.potsdam.ny.us/retirement.html

I will definitely make an order from them this year
