| Buffalo grapes are a purple wine grape and have a sweet flavor. Like most grapes they require attention including pruning in the winter and various deseases. Black rot is the most destructive fungus disease of grapes. Downy mildew and powdery mildew can also be a problem as well as the following insect pests: grape berry moth, grape flea beetle, grapevine beetle, sphinx caterpillar, grape root worm and Japanese beetle. This variety produces medium blue fruit in loose clusters. It is vigorous and hardy. |
