Hi there, I have a lovely healthy boysenberry bush growing in a container on my balcony. Every year I forget to prune it. It's still very temperate in London (my roses are still in bloom...) so I'm wondering if I'm too late to prune it for this year. What do you think? Thank you!

All you have to do with a bosenberry is remove the dead canes in the winter, its easy. Bosenberries fruit on second-year canes and those canes then die. Scott

Hi catalina_101. Congratulations on having a healthy one on a balcony. They're vigorous things. As scottfsmith says, you just cut the canes which fruited this year down to the ground. Don't want to put you off coming here, but if ever you need any gardening help for the UK check out the RHS. They cover everything.
