| Still here... just been busy with kids, staying sane from 10 days of clouds... Most of my seeds that I stratified in the refrigerator have sprouted. I potted about 2 dozen this afternoon. I noticed a lot of my flat peach seeds sprouted nicely. Does stink that i have to baby them through the winter months. |
|
| Frank: I potted many up recently also. Only Flavor Supreme had sprouted but others may have been too dry. Mine are outdoors in the shade. Pot temperatures are running 30s and 40s so should finish chilling in time for spring. Not sure what I'll do when real cold hits but do have an insulated shed nearby. Weather here has been pretty unusual. More like CA than TX. No Arctic cold since early Nov but expect that in Jan and Febr. |

| Wow, so you guys are growing out some of your seeds? Cool! I want to do this too! How long a stratification? Looks like shorter than you thought! I have raspberry seeds in stratification after bleach scarification. One is an unreleased cross from a breeder. A black raspberry. I'm following his instructions to germinate. |

| TWM You will be the next genius fruit trees breeder. Tony |

| Frank, Will you be grafting those sprouts to get some sample earlier or stickin 'em in the ground? r u ice fishing yet? This warm trend has put a damper on our season, now that there is an inch of water on top of the ice. Think i will launch the boat for some walleyes if i can find enough open water... |

| Tony, Thanks. I'm also developing a self-pollinating almond and drought tolerant stone fruit rootstocks.
