Guava tree seems almost dead - revivable?

Jessica C

Guava tree was purchase at the ft. Lauderdale rare produce event about last month. The leaves we're lanky when we bought it, but now the tree looks practically dead. We kept it in same soil/planter that we bought it in. No fertilizer yet because we didn't know what to get and how often to fertilize it. Will take recommendations. Tree is outdoors on our balcony and gets rain, just like our fig tree and plumerias.

Can this guava tree be revived or is it just dormant? How can we revive it?
