G3 rootstock on cherry?

Greetings:

I see Raintree is listing some sweet cherries on G3. Commercially, G6 is used in Wisconsin on sweets in Door County. I have tried G5 for home use. Hard to tell results
as my tree bore a few cherries in 2013 and was winter killed in 2014.

Before I re-order, just wondering if anyone has had good success on G3? Just thought the shorter tree height might
make it easier to net the tree when full grown.

For me G5 is very small. I can hold the trees to 4-5ft tall. Not sure I'd want anything smaller. Size is very dependent on growing conditions. Supposedly sometimes bigger in WA state than out East.

Thanks Fruit nut! I will order one on G5. My last one on G5 had very heavy caliper yet only 6' tall upon being winter killed so I thought that might be the case. I will leave G3 for container growing applications or high tunnels.
