Starting the New Year with a special wind chime project

In the past, I haven't been big on New Year resolutions. But this year I did make two of them. The first was to get a website up and running (something I have put off for years!), and the second was to start the year by making something really special. I'm happy to report, I've kept both resolutions.

I'm very proud of this double deluxe wind chime. We have a lot of logging around here on the Pacific Coast, and most often the stumps are left to rot, or, on private property, yanked and burned. Well, I cut planks from one such stump. Because they were cut with my chain saw, they took a ton of sanding and work, but believe me, the result is truly stunning (although you can't really see that in the picture). I'm happy to have put to good use this wood, that otherwise would have been burnt. Anyway, here is my 'special project.'

Unbelieveable - that's not a wind chime - that's a huge work of art! What a beautiful creation you've made... thanks for sharing it and keeping your resolution
