Trees and people

Hi everyone- there are some really talented people here and I hope those that haven't posted yet, do. Anyway, here is my contribution. Colored pencil on 15 x 20 gray canson paper. You might not be able to see it, but there are people climbing the trees nearer to the bottom. Its just me imaginging what an old growth forest would look like today, if we were made to exist in one. I found really nice leaf and root studies using google image search, so if you get stuck, check it out. Real life images will never steer you wrong.
Post your art, please!

Katkerri, I read the story on your info page and I thought it was incredible. Your story is about how nature finds a way is what I want to portray in my art. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks to bultman and sandy as well. It took a long time to try and get anything resembling a canopy with just colored pencil, but I was really trying to push light through the leaves.
