Katkerri, I wish I could see your painting in person. The striped squash in the second from left panel, the potatoes and beets, the leaf ribs of both the purple and green cabbages-- I'd like to see closer up of these! This is a cheerful composition. Thanks for letting us see.

Beautiful as always, Katkerri. Are you professionally illustrating, or doing these as freelance?

Thanks Clare..am hapPy to know the painting is cheerful to you!
Greenhalomagica (i love that name) No, I am not an illustrator..just a painter/gardener who paints veggies most-of-the-time. I show my work in local restaurants, representing myself. I just don't care for galleries where they need to have 50 percent of the selling price, etc.

Thats great- that's the best way to keep it fun for yourself. When the demand for your art arises it becomes work. Have you tried selling prints on ebay?

Greenhalomagica: I haven't made prints to sell, but am working on a cookbook and thinking of using some of my painting images in it.

Your art is wonderful. I could imagine them hanging in some of the best Italian resurants, etc. Please continue to pursue this worthwhile pasttime! I have done 1 for my kitchen using colored pencil. It's about 30" x 40" and it gets good reviews, but I dont have time yet to do anything else like that. Carry on! And keep posting.
