My first lily

This is the first lily I have ever grown. I drawed it with watercolor and colored pencil, but not satisfied with effect of the white flower. Any advice?

RE: My first lily

It's a lovely drawing. You could try drawing a less solid blue background, leaving some of the whiteness of the paper visible for the petals of the flower.
Alternatively, a darker background could make the white of the flower appear brighter. It really depends on the effect you're looking for. Layers of colour, then Chinese white, then colour helps to intensify the underlying colour.
You've made a lovely delicate drawing and have captured the shine on the leaves very well.
