A friend in England just sent this to me. The photos are of the American glass sculptor/artist Chihuly's work which is at the moment being exhibited at the Kew Gardens in London. It appears to me a perfect symbiosis and I'm going to see it when I visit my family in England in the summer. Sorry don't know how to do the link thing - go to www.beccasbeads.co.uk/Gardensofglass.htm This is irresistable to me as it combines my favourite interests - plants and artistic glass.

I was in London the week the exhibit opened and the newspapers had terrific coverage with great colored photos. I spent five hours at Kew Gardens and the glassworks were truly at home in that environment. If you get there, you MUST view the video presentation which shows how these creations are made, from concept to completion. A truly valuable insight into this man's methods and thinking!! The day was a delight and really set my mind to work on possibilities in my garden--on a smaller scale, of course!!!

Thanks for that link. Those are my two favorite things also, gardens and glass. I love Chihuly's work, it's so colorful and unusual.

It's not Chihuly, but on the Garden Junk forum they are making some really awesome garden totems out of glass. I like the ones that are on copper pipe. I tried some and they are fun and look gook in the garden. Sharon
