| Here is another stained glass stepping stone I recently finished. It is a 16 inch hexagon. I am now using my own concrete mixture which comes out white. |

| That's beautiful! I am interested in this art/craft. What's a good way to get started? A book or video? |

| Adgerlady, I have seen instructions for this type of design where I take stained glass classes. I believe it is considered mosaic. At my supplier I have seen the materials to do this so maybe that will give you a place to start searching. |

Sherry, Your work is just beautiful!!! I would love to do this with my 4-H kids. I work with the Cloverbuds, who are in kindergarten, first, and second grade. I have a one morning event at my house every October for about 10-15 youth, plus their parents. I always have a garden related theme, as I want as many youth to become gardeners as possible. We're doing popcorn this year (harvesting, shucking, poppping, making seed pictures) but if I start planning now, maybe I could be ready with something like this for my 2005 Cloverbud district event. I'm going to start by looking in the library and on websites, try making one of my own, then I'll probably bug you with some questions, once I 'know what I don't know.' I wished you & I lived closer, I'd love to have you come teach for a day! |

| Adgerlady, check out the gardenjunk forum. They're always doing things like this and discussing how they do it. It's a really neat site. Nancy |

I think its brilliant.I have done a lot of lights and suncatchers[birds etc to hang in the windows]Never occurred to me to do stepping stones ,like that, with opaque glass. They;re really great. You;ve done a great job. I'll have to give it a try. What sort of cement is it? hard to mix? Cheers |
