Butterflies and Fruit

This painting was a study in acrylics I worked up to try to achieve the "glowing fruit" you see in the paintings of the Dutch Masters. I love how they put insects in so many of their paintings.

Deanne - FANTASTIC! I never "shout" on-line, but couldn't help it for this one. The colors and details are amazing. I've always loved the light and color in Dutch still lifes and you have captured both. Congratulations. Please show us more.

Deanne your artwork is faultless - it's so pleasing to the eye - congratulations. You have to get loads of compliments from anyone seeing your paintings. Do you exhibit them? Thanks for sharing and hope to see more of. How have you displayed this artwork? I too enjoy insects and nature's bounty.

Deanne this is splendid and to think you said my patio was art .If I was going to paint that is just the type of painting I would like to be able to do,not to crazy about a lot of this modern art -guess because I dont understand it -although Im sure it deserves its following.Still if I want to hang a picture on my wall-I like to at least understand it Your colors are so realistic at first I thought it was a photo.

You have gone beyond just art and are in the Masters area. Unbelievable craftsmanship. I am in awe. It is a delight to the eye and senses. Can you tell I like it very much? Thank you for sharing this with us.
