Euphorbia? Which one?

I purchased this weird plant from the SALES SHELF in the garden center at my local Lowes Home Improvement center. I thought it would make an interesting "bonzai". The only name on the label was "Euphorbia". Can anyone tell me which variety?

After the flowers drop off, a few grow into these "seed pods".

Thanks in advance.

Your plant I believe is E.griffithii "fireglow". My book says it is not readily available. It is very pretty.

RE: Euphorbia? Which one?

Thanks for the response. A quick google on E.griffithii "fireglow" brings up several pictures. I'm not sure I agree with the identification.

RE: Euphorbia? Which one?

I was wondering about that my book didn't have a picture just a description. The euphorbia all have the thinner blue gray leaves so maybe it's not that type afterall.

RE: Euphorbia? Which one?

I believe it is Jatropha podagrica. It's in the Euphorbiaceae family.
Thanks, Jeannie :)

Here is a link that might be useful: Jatropha podagrica

RE: Euphorbia? Which one?

I think the common name of "Buddha Belly" is not correct for this particular one. I found another site that names it:

Jatropha podagrica
Family: Euphorbiaceae
Gout Plant, Gout Stick, Gatemala Rhubarb

I think we have a winner! Thanks so much!
