That is so beautiful. I would just love to sit on that bench with those gorgeous roses surrounding me. The pansies are perfect. The whole scene is just too, too divine. What type of roses are they?

Those are Climbing Pinkies. They have done very well for me, but, as I mentioned over on the rose forum a couple of weeks ago, they have had a habit of dying back on the ends during each winter. But, by this fall they will just have the arbor covered up with "bush" if I don't trim them some.

Unbelievably beautiful! What are those tall red/purple stalks in the front of the first picture? A kind of allium?

I love climbing roses and they don't get much better than those.

Thanks again for the nice words.

Those red flowers in the foreground are Red Valerian, aka: Jupiter's Beard. I've got some pics of just them I'll try to post. They are a pretty good plant for us out here on the plains. Once you get them going, you can pretty much forget about them.
