mama, iris are among my all time favorites. i too can scour picture books and web sites and look at them forever. what's the name of that one, do you know? it's just gorgeous.
Yes, I am lurking here, too for the first time and wonder how long it will take to look at all 27 pages. I am only too willing! Each Spring, the Iris are the first true stars in the garden for me. I watch them closely each day and just cant wait! They give a lot of bang for the buck with those huge floppy petals, and most smell like candy. Just divine!
