What is this plant?

I received this plant from a good friend, but I have no idea what it is or how to take care of it. My friend also does not know what type of plant this is. Can someone please help me identify this plant?

Thank you :)

RE: What is this plant?

It looks like an aloe vera plant. You might be familiar with the reputation of the gel from the plant being used to speed healing from minor skin cuts and burns. Some research has also suggested it works for healing surgical incisions - it is believed that aloe increases blood circulation to the wounded area and has anti-bacterial properties. The evidence is contradictory as some evidence suggests it actually impedes healing. My god-daughter believes it works as she uses it on minor cuts and scratches when she comes in from working in her garden. You can always try it and see if it works for you.

RE: What is this plant?

Doesn't look like any Aloe I've seen but it is a succulent so you might try the forum for succulents. Someone there should know the name.

It's a Haworthia. Next time, try Name This Plant Forum.
