What we call 'Rose of Sharon' - Hypericum calycinum

At least with the latin you don't get confused. When I first saw this, when a boy of 14, I thought it beautiful. Little did I know it could take over your neighbourhood. It is now relegated to under the shed and has made attempts to invade next door's garden but they have grass to the boundary so the lawnmower keeps it in check.
