Your garden is really doing well this year! The plants seem taller than last year. More of them too. I've never seen Columbine that tall before.
Beautiful Dahlias! Do you bring them in for the winter? I can leave them out here near Seattle, but they need good drainage throughout our wet winters. Even then, some don't make it.
I have no idea what has been bothering your Hydrangeas. Looks temporary and only cosmetic. Send a pic when they bloom. Some of mine are just starting. Up here in the foothills I'm a week or two behind Seattle.

Hi Mike: the columbine is HUGE! just that one got big. i do bring dahlias in for winter and i lose a lot to rot because our growing season is so rainy. thanks for your comments! i hope the hydrangea blooms.

Your gardens are gorgeous. I envy your foxgloves - they don't stand up well to our hot summers in south central Kansas so I have to admire them from afar. In the Color Combo photo, please identify the purple (allium, maybe?) and orange/ivory flowers.
